Welcome to MemeRank! By accessing or using our multiplayer party game ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use MemeRank.

By using MemeRank, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms
  • You accept and agree to comply with these Terms
  • You are at least 13 years old (or 18+ for "+18" mode content)

2. Description of Service

MemeRank is a free, browser-based multiplayer party game where players join game rooms, match humorous images to text prompts, vote anonymously on submissions, and compete for points.

Service Characteristics:

  • No registration or account creation required
  • Anonymous gameplay with temporary usernames
  • Real-time multiplayer functionality
  • Temporary game sessions (auto-deleted after 24 hours)

3. User Eligibility

Age Requirements

  • General Mode: Users must be 13 years or older
  • +18 Mode: Users must be 18 years or older
  • Verification: We do not verify age; users are responsible for compliance

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • ✅ Provide a username that is not offensive or inappropriate
  • ✅ Use the Service for lawful purposes only
  • ✅ Respect other players and maintain a friendly environment
  • ✅ Accept game rules and admin decisions
  • ✅ Use accurate room codes when joining games

You agree NOT to:

  • ❌ Use offensive, discriminatory, or harassing usernames
  • ❌ Submit illegal, obscene, or harmful content
  • ❌ Attempt to cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate the game
  • ❌ Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • ❌ Interfere with other players' enjoyment of the game
  • ❌ Attack, hack, or disrupt the Service infrastructure
  • ❌ Use automated tools, bots, or scripts
  • ❌ Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Content Guidelines

User-Submitted Content

When playing cards:

  • You are responsible for all cards you play
  • Cards must not violate copyright, trademark, or privacy rights
  • Cards must not contain illegal or prohibited content

Prohibited Content

  • Illegal material (child exploitation, violence, terrorism)
  • Hate speech or discriminatory content
  • Harassment, bullying, or threats
  • Spam or malicious links
  • Personal information of others

6. Game Rules and Conduct

Gameplay

  • Minimum 2 players required to start a game
  • Room creators ("Admin") control game flow
  • Players must submit one card per round
  • Anonymous voting (no self-voting allowed)
  • Scores are based on votes received
  • Admin decisions on game progression are final

Fair Play

  • No cheating, collusion, or vote manipulation
  • No harassment or targeting of other players
  • Respect the anonymous voting system
  • Accept game outcomes gracefully

7. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Rights

  • MemeRank name, logo, and branding are owned by us
  • The game design, code, and interface are our intellectual property
  • You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without permission

Your Rights

By playing cards, you grant us a temporary, non-exclusive license to display them during gameplay. This license expires when the game room is deleted (within 24 hours).

8. Service Availability

"As-Is" Basis:

  • MemeRank is provided free of charge, "as-is"
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time

No Warranties

  • We make no warranties about Service reliability
  • We do not guarantee compatibility with all devices/browsers
  • We are not responsible for third-party service failures

9. Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We are NOT liable for:

  • Lost game progress or scores
  • Technical errors or service interruptions
  • User-submitted content or conduct
  • Damages arising from use or inability to use the Service
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Maximum Liability:

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to use MemeRank. Since MemeRank is free, this means zero liability.

10. Termination

Your Right to Terminate

You may stop using MemeRank at any time. Simply exit the game and close the browser. Your data will be automatically deleted within 24 hours.

Our Right to Terminate

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Submit prohibited content
  • Engage in cheating or disruptive behavior
  • Pose a security or legal risk

11. Governing Law and Disputes

Dispute Resolution

  • Informal Resolution: Contact us first to resolve disputes amicably
  • Class Action Waiver: Disputes must be resolved individually (no class actions)
